OHCHR database

Last updated: 25.10.2013 // The OHCHR's launched September 11th 2013 its Database on practical means to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance

The OHCHR anti-discrimination database aims at supporting the international combat against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, as well as functioning as a reference tool for human rights mechanisms, such as ICERD, Durban follow-ups and the Universal Periodic Review. In order to do this, the database provides easy access to information on what steps different stakeholders are taking in order to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance. This includes information on international and regional instruments, case law from international, regional and national courts, legal measures adopted by States, as well as information on policy and institutional measures.

The database has received information from a variety of stakeholders and nationalities, and particularly encourages states and civil society actors whom still have not contributed to submit their information and data, as well as contributing with the continuous update of the database.
