Norway and Canada have today requested the WTO to appoint the members of the dispute settlement panel established to consider whether the EU legislation on trade in seal products is consistent with its obligations under WTO rules. Read more

On 28 June 2012 the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, Trond Giske, attended the EFTA ministerial meeting in Gstaad, Switzerland. During the meeting, the four EFTA countries signed a joint declaration on cooperation with Georgia. The fourth review of China’s trade policies and practices took place on 12 and 14 June 2012 in WTO, Geneva. In its statement, Norway commended China’s resistance to undertake protectionist measures and its work towards strengthening the multilateral negotiations.
