Executive Board Special Session on Reform

Last updated: 07/12/2011 // An Executive Board Special Session was held on 1-3 November 2011 in Geneva with the purpose of discussing WHO Reform.

Through a Member State-driven and inclusive approach the WHO Reform seeks to refocus core areas of the organization’s work to address the health challenges of the 21st century, reform the financing and management of the WHO and to transform its governance to strengthen global health.

Norway is taking active part in the current WHO reform process. Statements made at the Special Session by the Norwegian board member, Director General of Health Bjørn-Inge Larsen can be found below, as well as Norway’s submission to the web-based hearing on reform.
