Vanuatu

At the General Council 25 July 2012 Vanuatu officially notified the WTO that it had ratified its accession package which spells out its membership terms. Vanuatu will join the WTO as a full-fledged member on 24 August 2012, becoming the 157th member of the WTO.

On 21 July 2012, the Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law that authorizes the protocol for the country to join the World Trade Organization. On 23 July, the WTO-secretariat was notified on the ratification by the Russian government. The membership entered into force on 22 August 2012. With Russia joining the organization, all world’s major economies are now members of the WTO
