Aid for Trade

The Committee on Trade and Development discussed the way forward for Aid for Trade on 25 February. Norway supported the roadmap presented by the Director-General, and underlined the relevance that the WTO Coherence Mandate has for Aid for Trade.

Aid for Trade was included as a WTO priority at the Hong Kong Ministerial Conference in December 2005. The recommendations of a WTO Task Force were adopted in 2006, and in 2007 the first global review was completed and Norway presented an action plan.
