State Secretary Erik Lahnstein participated at this year's World Economic Forum in Davos. Norway underlines the importance of development issues in general, and LDC issues in particular, and is open to look at new approaches in order to move the WTO Doha negotiations forward.
There is a broad consensus among members that DDA will not be concluded in the near future, and the main issue now is how to move forward on issues that can be concluded.
Norway is willing to consider new and constructive approaches, and suggests that members give priority to issues of interest to LDCs in particular and developing countries in general.
