The negotiations on market access for industrial goods, including fish and fish products, deal with all goods that are not covered by the WTO Agriculture Agreement. This is why these negotiations are often referred to as NAMA (non-agricultural market access). The NAMA negotiations are important because NAMA products account for almost 90% of the world's merchandise exports. The mandate for these negotiations stem from the Doha Declaration and the negotiations are a vital part of the Doha Development Agenda.
